Delete pages and ranges in one pass
List pages with commas and write a range with a hyphen, such as 2,6-8. The order of the list does not matter, and naming a page twice changes nothing.

Removing pages deletes the pages you name from a PDF and returns the rest as one file, in the original order. Add your PDF, type the unwanted pages in the Pages to remove box, for example 2,6-8, and run the job. The tool keeps the bookmarks and form fields that belong to the remaining pages. It also clears the removed pages out of the file data, so their text is not left behind. It cannot remove every page, and it does not find blank or duplicate pages for you. To keep only a handful of pages, Extract pages takes a shorter list. To cut a file into several parts, use Split PDF.
List pages with commas and write a range with a hyphen, such as 2,6-8. The order of the list does not matter, and naming a page twice changes nothing.
Bookmarks that point to remaining pages stay and move to the new page positions. Form fields on remaining pages are kept, and so are files attached inside the PDF.
A removed page is deleted from the file data together with the content only that page used. Its text is not left inside the PDF for someone to recover later.
The Pages to remove box is required, and a list that covers every page is refused. The PDF you get back always has at least one page.
| You want to remove | Type | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Page 3 | 3 | One number. |
| Pages 2, 6 and 9 | 2,6,9 | Separate the numbers with commas. |
| Pages 4 to 7 | 4-7 | Both ends are included. |
| Pages 1 and 2, and page 10 | 1-2,10 | Ranges and single numbers can be mixed. |
| A range typed backwards | 7-4 | It is read as 4-7. |
Drag the document onto the upload box, or click the box and choose the file.
In Pages to remove, enter page numbers and ranges separated by commas, such as 2,6-8.
Press Run Remove Pages, then choose Download to save the shorter PDF.
Deleting a page is only useful if the rest of the document still works. This tool keeps bookmarks pointing at the right pages after the page count changes, keeps form fields on the pages that stay, and keeps attached files. It also deletes the removed pages from the file itself, which matters when you remove a page because someone should not see it. Two guards save you from a wasted run. An empty list is blocked in the form, and a list that would delete the whole document is refused. One job needs no sign-up, the transfer uses HTTPS, and free-tier files are erased automatically within 24 hours of the job finishing.

| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The job stops with an error naming a page | A number is zero, larger than the page count, or not a number | Open the PDF, count its pages and use numbers from 1 to that count. |
| The job stops when you list every page | The tool will not delete every page of a document | Leave at least one page out of the list. |
| Bookmarks are missing after the run | Bookmarks that point to a removed page are deleted, with any bookmarks nested under them | Add them again with Edit Table of Contents. |
| You want to keep a few pages and drop the rest | This tool lists what to delete | Use Extract Pages and list the pages to keep. |
A duplex scan left blank backs, or a sheet went through twice. Note the page numbers in a viewer and delete them in one job.
A report carries an internal cover sheet or a pricing appendix the recipient should not get. Remove those pages and their content is deleted from the file.
A downloaded form starts with pages of instructions. Remove them and the fillable fields on the remaining pages are kept.
